Access log.
We keep track of each visitor on our server. We collect visitor’s device type, browser agent, IP address, and requested page/posts on our site. These details keep only to prevent spammers, attackers, and malicious activities. We server keep these access logs for 30 days and then automatically purge.
Comments.
When the visitors leave a comment on our site, we collect the comment form requested details (name, email address mandate, and your website optional). Also, we track the commenter’s IP address, browser user agent, and device type to prevent spammers.
When submitting your email address, our CMS automatically stores the email address with hash. Our CMS uses the Gravatar service to check if you are already registered on that service. Suppose you are a registered user on Gravatar avatar service, your profile image visible publically on our site with your comment (once we approved). Media.
We strictly do not allow anyone else (except admins) to upload media. Therefore, you are not able to upload media to our site.
Contact forms.
When you are using the site contact form, we collect only what you have submitted via the contact forms. We use your email address only for contacting you. We never use it for any other purpose. You may receive a follow-up replay subsequently.
Cookies.
Comment cookies.
When you leave a comment on the site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address on our site, and we place a website in cookies on your device. We do these for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites.
Articles on SucculentPlantGuru.com may include embedded content from other sites (e.g., YouTube Video, Facebook Status, video, etc.). These 3rd party sites’ embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

We use the Cloudflare proxy service to protecting the site and enhance the page loading time. Cloudflare collects information about the visitor, including IP address, device information, requested URL, and other information derived from the browsing activities when a user accesses our site.

Email subscription by MailChimp.
We use the MailChimp email newsletter service. Once you submitted your email address, name, and opt-in for our email subscription service, we can see the submitted data (your name, email address) and that datastore on the MailChimp server.
We do not sell your private contact details (you name, email address) for 3rd parties or we do not use those details for advertising purposes. Anytime you can opt-out from our newsletter by click on the “Unsubscribe” link on our emails. Once you are opt-out we do not store your contact details.

Visitors’ comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely. This is used for your and our convenience. For instance, recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically without in moderation.
